About the app

What is ScamLens?

ScamLens is a completely free, on-device educational scam checker for iPhone and iPad. It reviews suspicious links, QR codes, messages and screenshots and explains warning signs in plain English.

Does ScamLens upload my messages?

No. Checks run entirely on your iPhone. Messages, links, screenshots and results are never uploaded. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Can ScamLens guarantee a link is safe?

No. ScamLens is an educational safety tool. It helps you spot common scam warning signs but cannot guarantee that any link, QR code, message or website is safe.

Is ScamLens free?

Yes. ScamLens is completely free, with unlimited checks. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Sharing a result is a text summary only. ScamLens does not export PDFs.

Is ScamLens built for UK scams?

Yes. ScamLens knows the scams Britons actually receive — parcel redelivery fees, HMRC refunds, bank impersonation, parking QR stickers, NHS and DVLA impersonation — with the correct UK reporting routes such as 7726, NCSC, 159 and Report Fraud.
