ScamLens UK is built so that checking a suspicious message never turns your private messages into someone's data. The honest summary: we do not collect any data. At all.
Everything ScamLens does — reading a pasted message, scanning a QR code, reading a screenshot, and generating the explanation — happens on your iPhone. The messages, links, images and results are never uploaded, transmitted, logged or shared with us or anyone else. The on-device intelligence that writes plain-English explanations is Apple's Foundation Models framework, which also runs entirely on your device.
Your check history is stored only on your iPhone. By default only a short preview of each checked item is kept; you can choose to keep full text in Settings, and you can delete everything at any time with one tap. If you delete the app, this data is gone. We have no copy — we never did.
There are no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no third-party SDKs of any kind, and no account system.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no personal information about you from a purchase. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.
Data Not Collected. Keeping this true is a design constraint of the app, not a marketing line: features that would require collecting data are rejected at design time.
ScamLens is an educational safety tool suitable for general audiences. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future feature ever changed any of the above, we would update this policy, the App Store privacy label, and explain the change in the app before it took effect.
