No. Checks run entirely on your iPhone. Messages, links, screenshots and results are never uploaded, transmitted or logged. Our App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
Can it guarantee a link is safe?
No. ScamLens is an educational safety tool. A "Low risk" result means no obvious warning signs were found — it is not a promise of safety. Always verify through official channels before sharing personal or payment details.
What is free?
Five checks per day, QR destination previews, verdicts, safer next steps, UK reporting guidance and the full scam library are free. Pro adds convenience features like unlimited checks, screenshot analysis, full history and Helper mode.
What permissions does it need?
Camera is used only while you scan a QR code — nothing is recorded or uploaded. Photos access is via the system picker for screenshot checking; images are processed on-device and never stored unless you save a check to history.
