HotspotCheck is a defensive Wi-Fi safety advisor for iPhone. It performs user-initiated checks of visible safety indicators on the Wi-Fi network you are currently using.
Does HotspotCheck guarantee my Wi-Fi is safe?
No. HotspotCheck checks visible indicators only. It cannot guarantee that a network is safe and may not detect every device or risk.
What permissions does HotspotCheck need?
Local Network permission is requested only when you start a scan. Location (When In Use) may be needed so iOS can show the current Wi-Fi name and security details where the platform requires it.
Is my scan data uploaded?
No. Scan data stays on your iPhone unless you choose to export a report. The app has no analytics SDK and no developer-operated backend for scan history.
Is there a free version?
Yes. You receive three full scans for free, including the full report, export, recommendations, and local history. After that you can unlock unlimited scans with an annual subscription or lifetime purchase.
